The Ninja CE251 is your classic coffee maker, but it’s build quality goes above and beyond. Instead of the entire housing being plastic, Ninja opts for a more premium look and feel. There’s also two different brew settings, classic or rich, this essentially means strong or regular. The Ninja utilizes hotter brewing technology and more advancements over its under $100 counterparts.

Like almost all coffee makers these days you can program the Ninja to prepare your coffee at the same precise time each morning. This feature can be used to brew coffee up to a day in the future. With an adjustable hot plate beneath the carafe, the Ninja CE251 can keep your coffee not only hot but flavorful too and not stale for up to 4 hours. Best of all is the removable water container, so you can easily detach it and walk over to the sink without moving the entire coffee maker.

The Mr. Coffee 10 Cup Optimal Brew System is a sleek looking affordable coffee maker that looks amazing in the kitchen. No plastic housing, just sleek stainless steel. The water reservoir is removable so refilling is a breeze. This Mr. Coffee model is known for its hotter temperatures, able to bring out rich tastes other coffee makers wouldn’t unveil.

Plus it’s been tested, and it’s capable of producing coffee 20 percent faster than the competition which is just plain fast for a high-quality cup of coffee. Ever heard of gold tone permanent filters? You’re not alone, but you’d do well to know that most of these more premium coffee makers rely on them. Nice thing about that is you don’t need to buy paper filters anymore if you go with the Mr. Coffee. Just like the Ninja, this Mr. Coffee is also programmable. Plus it adds a freshness timer to keep the coffee, well, fresh.

The KitchenAid Spiral Showerhead Drip Coffee Maker is unique in its brewing method, obviously because of the shower head part. If you’ve never tried it before, it definitely produces a slightly different flavor than a traditional drip brewer. Does that make a difference in the coffee quality? Absolutely. Is it totally identifiable in each cup? Not always. Compared to the Mr. Coffee and the Ninja, the taste is very similar and all 3 perform amazing. Plus it uses the same gold tone filter, and a removable water tank. The KitchenAid also features a warming plate so coffee stays fresh no problem.

The Cuisinart Premium Single-Serve Brewer does precisely what it says, makes one cup at a time. This is an excellent single cup coffee maker if that’s more what you need. It’s able to brew k-cups so if you already have a bunch of those stored up you’re all set. The water reservoir holds 72oz of water so it stays locked and loaded for a few cups, wouldn’t expect much more. You can brew 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12-ounce cups and even select the temperature you want for dialing in specific flavors. Unlike the Ninja, Mr. Coffee, and KitchenAid this model does not use the gold tone filters. Instead, it uses the HomeBarista reusable filter. It’s not bad, it really comes down to preference between the gold tone and this filter model. All in all the Cuisinart Premium Single-Serve Brewer is amazing at its job, just like you’ll be if you drink these cups.
